东晋南朝杂号护军考论

Study on the Irregular Border Troops in the Time of East Jin and South Dynasties

东晋南朝为了监管少数民族,在一些民族聚居的郡级单位设置杂号护军,主要有镇蛮、安远等护军,西江、南江、东江诸督护。在郡级设杂号护军始于西晋初期,晋末宋初主要集中在长江中游的蛮族地区,梁、陈时期则主要置于岭南俚族地区。

During the time of the East Jin and the South Dynasties （AD 317-477）, the authorities established the miscellaneous border protection troops on the county-level in the minority nationalities in order to manage the national minority. Main miscellaneous troops such as in the Zhenman, Anyuan and so on. The supervisors had been appointed in Xijiang, Nanjiang and Dongjiang. The miscellaneous troops initiated at the beginning period of the west Jin Dynasty （AD 265）. In the later period of the Jin and at the beginning of the Song Dynasty the miscellaneous troops were set up in the minority areas such as the minority nationality in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and in Lingnan area in the time of the Chen Dynasty.
