Modern dance is a dancing art developed in recent century. It emerged in China in the 30s, underwent the period of cultural autocracy and incomplete acceptance and entered its prime period of creation in the 90s. It is an indisiputable fact that modem dance is now becoming more and more popular among the masses of people, especially among young people. The research on the aesthetic features of modem dance opens up vaster vistas for the development and innovation of other types of dance. This track is just a miniature of the modernization process of the Chinese culture from tradition to modernity.
