This article describes and analyzes the semantic and grammatical characteristics of＂冇＂in Yongxing dialect in southern Hunan province. The major contents consist of a brief introduction to Yongxing, the semantic characteristic and function of ＂冇＂in sentences, and the pragmatic difference caused by two tone of＂冇＂, and the ambiguity caused by ＂冇＂.
