University libraries play an important role in enhancing students＇ reading ability. In the era of knowledge economy, university libraries should positively innovate the user education and provide guid- ance for students to read academic texts creatively so as to improve their reading and learning ability as well as the ability of life-long study in terms of main features of academic texts, selecti on principles and ways of reading and writing academic texts.
