Research Report on Urban-rural Integrated Development in Suzhou

城乡一体化就是把工业与农业、城市与农村、城镇居民与农村居民作为一个整体,通过体制改革和政策调整,促进城乡在经济、文化、社会事业等方面发展的一体化。其价值目标就是要逐步消灭长期以来形成的城乡二元结构。我们通过对苏州所辖市县具有代表性的镇、村、社区城乡一体化发展中的制度建设、经济发展、文化娱乐、民生问题等方面的调研分析,了解目前苏州在推进城乡一体化建设中的主要做法、取得的成绩及存在的实际问题,寻求解决的对策与途径,以期为政府决策部门提供参考依据。

Urban-rural integration is the coordinated development between agriculture and industry, urban and rural areas, urban residents and rural dwellers in order to promote the integration in economy, culture and social programs through reconstructuring and policy adjustment. Its value aim is to eliminate the dual structure in urban and rural development gradually. We have learned the main approaches, the achievements and existing problems in advancing urban-rural integrated developement by making an investigation into and analysis of the system construetion, economic development, entertainment and livelihood issues in the development of urban-rural integration in towns, villages, communities of Suzhou city in order to seek countermeasures and solutions so as to provide reference for the government decision-making departments.
