Economic History and the Science of Economics

本文认为，经济学作为实证科学，离不开经济史的实证检验，经济史学的任务，就是通过对经济理论的不断证实与证伪，推动经济学的发展；另一方面，经济史学也离不开作为方法论的经济学理论为指导。本文指出，经济学和经济史学都面临范式创新的任务，而要实现这两个学科的范式创新。

AbstractThe science of economics, based on real facts that can be experienced rather than on ideas formed in the mind, cannot be proved right or wrong without concrete evidence in economic history. The goal of economic history is to push the science of economics forward by conforming or contrasting its theory; on the other hand econoic history must be guided by the science of economics, so both economics and economic history are facing the renewal of their models and it is necessary for us to resume the traditional combination of economics and economic history to achieve that aim.
