Characteristic of Tuxpeno Germplasm and Its Utilization in Maize Breeding in China

种质基础狭窄已经成为我国玉米育种研究可持续发展的首要限制因素。玉米种质扩增、改良与创新成为作物育种研究最重要的发展方向;Tuxpeno是玉米的一个重要种族。本文就其种质的特点以及在中国玉米育种和生产上的成功应用方面进行阐述,旨在深入利用玉米Tuxpeno种质,进一步探索创建新的种质资源,挖掘新的杂优模式。

The narrow germplasm base has become the main factor to block sustainable development of maize breeding in China, and enlargement, improvement and innovation of maize germplasm become the most important development direction of crops breeding. Tuxpeno is an important germplasm. The paper summaries the characteristics of Tuxpeno germplasm and its utilization in maize breeding in China to create new germplasm resources and excavate new heterosis models on the basis of uiilization of Tuxpeno germplasm.
