Sound velocity measurement experiment is an essential part of General Physics Experimentations. As the limitations of the equipments in performance and precision, phase method is commonly used in the measurement of ultrasound transmittal speed in the air. With the development of computer technology, more and more experimentations are applied. This paper introduces how to determine the transmittal speed of audible sound wave by means of time - lag with PC sound card.
