It is quite common in mathematics teaching that students are taught in a way like making the rice shoots grow by pulling them up. We should carefully take into account cognition of the students and adopt effective teaching methods. The mathematics competition in the elementary level should be cancelled and the eapabilites of those studenst who show a talent for math should be developed in various ways. Moreover, we should actively develop resoures in routine teaching to cultivate students＇ thinking ability.
