Considering the parting problems existed in the design of the plastic and rubber mold cavity, the paper introduces the concept of mold parting of the plastic and rubber mold. The determination methods of core and cavity were described. The influence of draft angle on the plastic products and the parting methods in the fillet were analyzed and summarized in detail. Relatively complete mold parting solutions have been successfully put forward based on the study of the broken hole and insert during the design process, which provide the fundamental theory for the parting technology analysis of plastic and rubber mold cavity.
