监视器显示的图像并非与原始场景一对一匹配,数字电影和电视使用的显示装置校正是非常重要的,它直接决定了图像的质量。目前使用的数字显示装置有3种:DLP放映机、CRT监视器和LCD监视器。DLP放映机的颜色范围比CRT监视器的颜色范围要大,LCD监视器与DLP放映机和CRT监视器比较,LCD监视器显色性能最差。CRT监视器具有非线性特性,它的曲线被称作为格码曲线。DLP放映机的特性曲线类似于CRT监视器,格码值较大,它主要是用于补偿黑暗放映房间中的观看条件。要使较大反差的场景在数字显示上得到最佳的再现效果,需要一个S形转换函数。本文从5个方面较详细的叙述了数字显示装置的应用。
The image shown on the monitor is not one-to-one with the original scene. So the calibration of display devices used in digital film and television is extremely important as it directly decides the image quality. Currently there are three types of display devices: DLP projector, CRT monitor and LCD monitor. The color gamut of DLP projector is wilder than that of CRT monitor; DLP projector and CRT monitor do a better job than LCD monitor in displaying. CRT monitor has a non-linear characteristic known as a gamma curve. DLP projector's characteristic curve is similar to CRT monitor and its gamma value is greater to compensate for the viewing conditions in a dark projection room. For an optimal reproduction of a photographed scene having a large contrast on a digital display, an S-shaped transfer function is needed. The application of digital display devices from five areas was discribed in detail.
