The studies on the application of some disease-resistant substances and growth promoters in the culture of soft-shelled turtle were reviewed, including hormone, chemosynthesized antibiotic, chinese herbal medicine, vitamin, micro-element and enzyme-preparation complex. The developmental trend of the disease-resistant substances and growth promoters for soft-shelled turtle was also discussed.
