The present article gives a meaningful approach into the challenges facing medium and small sized professional libraries: how to collect and tap the periodical information data, to serve the readers over their rearch topics, to enhance the business quality of the librarians and their efficient use, and to extend the applied fields of periodical data for the purpose of diversified services.
