周恩来是伟大的无产阶级革命家、政治家、军事家和外交家,也是杰出的马克思主义理论家。他的人格精神、经济建设思想、民族思想、外交策略等丰富了马克思主义和毛泽东思想,是新中国以来,特别是改革开发以来的研究重点。进入新世纪,中国乃至世界都发生了翻天覆地的变化,在新的历史环境下,广大学者对周恩来及其思想进行了不懈的卓有成效的研究和探讨,取得了可喜的成绩。

Chou En-lai is not only a great proletariat revolutionist, politician, militarist, diplomat, but also an outstanding Marxist theorist. His personality, thoughts of economy construction, nation rejuvenation, diplomatic tactics have richened Marxism and Mao Tse-tung＇s Thoughts. Academic circles have focused on Chou＇s thoughts since the founding of PRC, esp. during the period of China＇s reforms and opening up. As dramatic changes have taken place both in China and the world in the 21^st century, scholars started a deeper exploration of Chou＇s thoughts according to the new situations and have made great achievements.
