It is usually believed that language and text are temporal narrative medium, not suiting for the demonstration of space. Nevertheless, many of literary works tries to break up the limitation and demonstrate spatial forms through delicate scenic description, vivid characters' portrait and interweaving of historical fragments. Issac Singer, in his short story The Bus, attempts to borrow from other narrative media such as stage performance, painting and movie, and display infinite imaginative space. The story succeeds in constructing static stage space, dynamic graphic space and drifting movie space through literary narrative means.
