摘要
狄更斯的作品往往结合自己贫困而艰苦的经历,加之对英国社会矛盾的深刻观察。他的小说《雾都孤儿》被波兰籍犹太导演波兰斯基改编成电影之后,获得了批评界和大众的广泛赞誉。作为故事人物之一的犹太人费金在电影中形象的再塑造体现了在多元文化盛行的世界文化语境下,对于种族歧视的反击和对各民族文化平等的社会思潮的认同,也体现了在后殖民主义时代下,对帝国主义话语霸权的抨击。
The works of the British writer Charles Dickens, in the age of critical realism in 19 century, were created with the combination of the writer's own impoverished and painstaking experience with his insight into the contradictions in British society. His novel Oliver Twist, after being adapted into movie by the Poland-born-Jewish director Polanski, was widely appreciated by critics and the public. The representation of the Jewish image Fagin in the movie not only demonstrated a strike against racial discrimination and an approval of cultural equality among various nationalities in the multi-cultural background, but also represented an attack on discourse hegemony in the age of post colonialism.
