New Methods of Industrial Tests on Magnetic Media of High Gradient Magnetic Separator

摘要 以往高梯度磁选机磁介质的工业试验是将整台设备的磁介质都换掉,用平行的两台设备进行比较。这种方法很难保证磁选机其他工况条件的一致性,且费时、费力、费材料。为此提出了一种高梯度磁选机磁介质工业试验的新方法。新方法在1台磁选机同时安装多种不同的磁介质模块,主要通过考查比较不同磁介质模块在卸矿前后的矿物吸附量和残留量来判定磁介质的优劣,并可预测磁选机整机采用同一种磁介质时的回收率。在梅山选矿厂的实践证明了该法的可行性。 All magnetic media should remoued from whole device in former industrial tests on magnetic media of high- gradient magnetic separator, meanwhile two devices were operated in parallel for comparison. It is difficult to ensure the consistency of the other working conditions for the magnetic separator by this method, causing large amount of time, labor and material consumption. So, a new approach for the industrial tests on magnetic media of high gradient magnetic separator is proposed. In this process, numerous different magnetic media modules are installed in one magnetic separator. Through comparing with absorption capacity and residual volume of different magnetic media modules before and after minerals unloading, the advantage and disadvantage of different magnetic media can be determined. Then, the recovery rate of a magnetic separator by using the same kind of magnetic media can be predicted. The practical application in Meishan concentra- tor has proved its feasibility.
