This paper aims to provide a review of the emergent,development and achieve- ment of holospectrum for large rotating machinery during the past decade.A detailed overview of its applications to fault diagnosis,condition monitoring in run- up and shutdown stages as well as non- stationary vibration is presented.According to the presentstatus of the fault diagnosis for rotating machinery,we point the direction of the development of holospec- trum.
