传统文化与现代文明对接的若干问题

A Probe into the Connection Between Traditional Culture and Modern Civilization

仁与义就是文化,这是人类所独有的,不论是中国文化或是西洋文化,不论是中国的传统文化与现代文明,都有其共同性,也就是说相互间有其联接点,但是各个民族、各个国家,或者是古代文化与现代文明都各有其特殊性,因而又有其摩擦与矛盾。当今将我国建设成为一个现代文明社会主义国家中,就有一个重要任务,就是如何把中国的传统文化与现代文明相对接,融合在一起。儒家所提倡的核心价值,属于价值性的义理,与现代社会所赖以存在的各种工具理性,并无根本冲突。那么如何进行中国传统文化与现代文明的对接,就一直成为人们所关注的命题,本文的任务就是企图对此做一个探索。

Two thousand years ago, Mengcius pointed out the difference between human being and animal is 'benevolence' (Ren) and 'righteousness'(Yi) . 'Ren' and 'Yi' are human culture,irrespective of the East and the West. Chinese culture and Western culture, Chinese tradition and modern civilization as well, they both have some similarities and connection whereas they have their unique characteristics.In the process of building up our nation as a modern civilization socialist country, we are supposed to merge both traditional culture and modern civilization together as our great mission. Confucianism advocates valuable philosophy and the core values of their philosophy are no collision between instrument rationality in modern society. How to merge both China’s traditional culture and Modern civilization has become an important topic which has been concerned by many people nowadays. The objective of this paper is trying to do a research on it.
