再看“文如其人”及其当代价值

On the connotation of "Like author, like book" and its contemporary value

作为中国传统文论的一个古老命题,"文如其人"的内涵和当代价值一直颇受争议。本文首先从古人对文章和德行的朴素看法和文学接受两个角度对"文如其人"的传统内涵进行分析;然后从"文如其人"对作家创作实践的影响意义、构建民族特色文论体系的需要及当下社会对人文关怀的召唤三个角度论述的"文如其人"当代价值。最后,在此前分析论述的基础上,指出"文如其人"的传统内涵在当代仍有其可行性。

＂Like author, like book＂ is an old proposition in the Chinese literary theory, but its connotation and contemporary value has been controversial. In this article, at first, its connotation is analyzed from ancient Chinese views of the article and the virtue; and then, its contemporary value is treated from three angles which are the influence of the proposition on writers＂ creation, the need to construct theoretical system with national characteristics, and the calling of contemporary society to humanistic solicitude. At last, on this basis, the applicability of the old proposition at the present day is discussed, and an affirmative answer to this question is given.
