Discussion on Mechanisms of Excessive Anger Driving Revered Flow of Qi to Cause Brain Damage

"怒则气逆"除伤肝外,还通过气的中介作用即肝气上逆的病理过程而伤脑。以《内经》理论"怒则气上""怒则气逆"等为依据,参以晚清医家如张伯龙、张山雷、张锡纯之观点,来说明"怒则气逆伤脑"的病机,即"怒-肝气上逆-脑"轴系统。其中怒为病因,而肝气亢逆起中介作用,脑为靶器官。从而引起猝暴中风昏厥等病变,出现脑病症状。

Excessive anger driving revered flow of qi can not only damage liver but also brain through the intermediation process of Qi or the pathological process of GanQi moving adversely upwards. This article explains the mechanisms of excessive anger driving revered flow of Qi to cause damaging brain and the system of excessive anger-GanQi moving ad- versely upwards-brain on the base of partial theory of internal classic of Huangdi and some medical scientist＇s viewpoints late Qing dynasty. Excessive anger may be the causes of disease, GanQi moving adversely upwards may be mediating effect, and brain may be target organs, which can cause stroke and syncope.
