摘要 "2008-2009亚洲国家蔗糖产量降低的原因及应对措施"国际学术研讨会在南宁召开,探讨了全球、特别是亚洲蔗糖产量降低的原因。会议认为:气候变暖,环境恶化;技术落后,投入减少,缺乏科学的管理;病虫害增加,单一化严重,品种没有重大突破;蔗农积极性下降,受其他作物的竞争、挤压,甘蔗种植业边缘化等是造成全球蔗糖产量降低的主要原因。应对措施有:坚持技术创新和全面进步;综合采取各种技术措施,包括甘蔗优良品种选育、应用健康种苗快繁、先进适用栽培技术研发和集成应用、病虫害综合防治、糖业废弃物循环利用等。从宏观上讲管理层面显得尤为重要,包括统筹规划、科学管理,集约化、规模化经营,重视自主创新,积极研发和引进先进、实用技术,建立灾害预警应急机制,加强国际合作等。中国糖业只要抓住机遇,做大做强,定能实现可持续发展。 International Workshop on Declining Cane Sugar Production in Asian Countries 2008-2009: Reasons and Remedies, was successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi, China. The scientists and researchers came from various countries opined that the main reasons for sugarcane and sugar yield decline are the global climatic changes, environment deterioration, lag in technology extensions, less inputs, lack of proper crop, insect and disease management, absence of breakthrough in breeding programs resulting in mono-cropping of sugarcane variety, loss of interest in growers due to less economic profits, marginalization of sugarcane growing areas by other competitive crops, etc. For sustaining the sugarcane as well as sugar production and reduce the gaps of yield decline, the following suggestions have been worked out: breeding resistant sugarcane varieties with high sugar and high productivity, use of healthy seed canes, innovation and popularization of advanced and practical technologies, IPM for controlling disease, insect pests, weeds and rats, recycling of the sugarcane wastes and bye products, etc. In macroscopic view, better management practices are most important for sustaining sugarcane production, which includes overall planning, coordination between scientists and farmers, intensification and a large scale of farm running, development and import of advanced practical technologies, setting up mechanisms of early warning and emergency response to disasters, and strengthening international cooperation. The realization and implementation of these suggestions will definitely lead to the sustainable sugarcane and sugarcane industry in China.
