白族木匠传说的三种基本形态

On the Three Kinds of Basic Modality about the Carpenters' Legends of Bai People

白族地区广泛流传着一种与木匠有关的散体叙事文学,有学者将其文类归入故事,或在论述时出现了传说和故事相混的现象。这些散体叙事明显具有传说的性质,可以分为巫术传说、"地方性知识"和木匠生活史三种基本形态,这三种基本形态各有其文化功能,而且常常相互交织在一起。

There are a few prosaic narrates about capenters that have been coming down from raouth to mouth by the people who live in the Bai minority region. Some scholars think that the style of these prosaic narrates belong to ordinary stories, or mix up the ordinary stories and legends. Obviously, these prosaic narrates are legends, and could be divided into three kinds of basic modality, withcraft legends, local kaowledge, aad life history of carpenters. They have different cultural functions and always mixed together.
