This paper reviewed recently published multi-residue chromatographic methods for the determination of steroid hormones in food.After a brief introduction on steroid hormones, an overview emphasized on multi-residue analytical methods with detail explication, covering sample extraction and purification as well as chromatographic separation and different detection methods, being in use for the determination of steroid hormones. Finally, the development trends of multi- residue detection methods for the determination of steroid hormones were summarized.
