This article focuses on the necessity, advantages, and requirements concerning the construction of web--based training model of college English listening course, which might be the best possible option to solve the existing problems in current teaching and learning of listening. The model gets an edge by its self-- accessil^iIity, multidimensional input, interaetivity, handy reference resources, and repeating and attention effects. The model should he sophisticatedly designed in terms of resources, language and techniques.
