因为啤酒而闻名于世的青岛在举办过2008年奥帆赛后,又有了一个浪漫的新称呼:中国的帆船之都。而这个金字招牌的得来与克利伯环球帆船赛和青岛的结缘不无关系,从某种意义上说,正是克利伯环球帆船赛在2005—2006和2007—2008两个赛季两度造访青岛,不但预热了2008年奥帆赛,而且提升了青岛的知名度和美誉度。目前,这项世界顶级帆船赛和中国的帆船之都建立了长久的合作关系:2009—2010和2011—2012两个赛季的克利伯环球帆船赛将连续光临青岛,成为青岛打造"帆船之都"的有力助推器。
To some extent,by visiting Qingdao twice,the Clipper 2005-06 Round the World Yacht Race and 2007-08 Round the World Yacht Race not only served as a warm-up for 2008 Olympic Regatta,but also boosted Qingdao's reputation. Already,this worldwide top class sailing event has established a long-term cooperative relationship with China's sailing fraternity.The Clipper 2009-10 and 2011- 12 Round the World Yacht Races will continue the tradition of visiting Qingdao, creating an energetic accelerator to help Qingdao to turn itself into a sailing city.
