摘要
介绍了Le的Tau理论及其新发展———修正的Tau理论.Tau理论认为TTC(接触时间或碰撞时间)判断的信息源来自视觉轮廓的相对扩张率和视觉范围的相对收缩率,称之为taumargin,而不是物理变量距离和速度的比值(在恒定速度的条件下).Tresilian根据Wann的研究提出了修正的Tau理论,该理论认为在TTC判断中存在多种信息源,任务约束和刺激条件在信息源的使用中起决定作用,只有在快速、准确计时的拦截任务中taumargin是单独的或主要的信息源,并且存在不需要利用taumargin信息计时的拦截任务.
The Tau Hypothesis, proposed by Lee and revised by Tresilian, is introduced. The Tau Hypothesis believes that tau margin information used to judge TTC(time to contact or time to collision)is only available in the combination of the relative rate of dilation of the optical contour of the moving object and the relative rate of constriction of the optical gap separating the moving object from the target position(without change in velocity). Recently, on the basis of Wann's research, Tresilian further develops the Tau Hypothesis, called the revised Tau Hypothesis, which asserts that task constraints and stimulus conditions are the basic determinters of the information used in timing, and that a restricted class of fast interceptive action is timed by the tau margin information.
