英美文学与华文文学的比较研究离不开多元文化语境和跨文化交际的研究。文化与文学翻译不仅受制于源语文化语境与原作者文化背景，而且也受到目的语文化语境和译者文化意识的制约。因此译者主体性体现在选取合理的翻译策略来协调两种不同民族的文化，从而实现世界文化互动与交流。

The comparative study of British ＆ American literature and Chinese literature can not isolate from multi-culture context and cross-culture communication. The translation of culture and literature is restricted by not only original cultural context and cultural background of original writer, but the cultural context of target language and the consciousness of interpreter. Therefore, the initiative of interpreter is to choose reasonable interpreting methods to coordinate the two different cultures to achieve cultural interaction and communication in the world.
