蔡元培是我国近代吏上著名的教育家，在德留学期间深受洪堡大学理念的影响，执掌北京大学，形成了较为丰富的系统的高等教育思想，其研究高深学问的高等教育宗旨、完全人格教育的高等教育目标、”思想自由、兼容并包”的高等教育办学原则、教授治校、民主管理的高等教育管理体制，对今天我国高等教育重视研究职能、协调高教管理、实现教授治校等，具有现实启迪意义。

Cai Yuan-pei is a famous educationist in China＇s modem history , he deeply affected by the philosophy of Humboldt university during his study in Germany. He mastered Beijing university , and formed relatively rich and systematic higher education thoughts. His higher education aim of studying profound knowledge, higher education target of complete personality education, higher education guiding principles of ＂ freedom of thoughts, all-embra- cing＂ , higher education management system of professor managing,democratic management, which have realistic significances for today China＇s higher education to pay attention to research functions,coordinate higher education management,realize professor managing and so on.
