英汉反义形容词之语法功能对比研究

Contrast of Grammatical Functions between English and Chinese Antisense Adjectives

英语和汉语反义形容词在语法功能上虽然有一些相似之处,如在句中都可以充当定语和补语,但也存在很大的差异,主要体现在:汉语反义形容词可以充当主语、谓语等成份,而英语反义形容词则不可;汉语反义形容词有叠合形式,但英语反义形容词用"级"表示;另外,英汉语反义形容词作同样成分时也有一定的使用差异。因此,研究其语法功能对比,对英汉语对比研究和第二外语教学都有重要的意义。

There are some similarities between English and Chinese antisense adjectives in grammatical functions,for example,both can be used as attributive and complement,but there are still some differences.For instance,Chinese antisense adjectives can be used as subject and predicate while English antisense adjectives cannot;Chinese antisense adjectives have overlapping forms while English antisense adjectives have comparative and superlative forms.Besides,there are some differences when they are used as the same part of the sentence.Therefore,research on their contrast in grammatical functions is quite important for both the contrastive studies between English and Chinese and second language teaching.
