On the Moral Conflicts in Romeo and Juliet

本文通过对道德冲突这一概念的引入和分析,揭示了莎士比亚的古典爱情悲剧《罗密欧与朱丽叶》中主人公罗密欧和朱丽叶所面临的来自封建旧生活与文艺复兴新生活以及两个封建家族之间的历史恩怨所带来的矛盾冲突;并试图探寻欧洲文艺复兴时期人们的人生观、价值观和审美取向,以及作为这个历史时代先进的人文主义者莎士比亚的个性解放、自由平等的资产阶级新思想。

Romeo and Juliet,by William Shakespeare,considered the greatest representative of a romantic tragedy in the world,is one of the important classic tragedies in his early creating period.With the injection and analysis of the concept of Moral Conflicts,this paper reveals the contradictory conflicts confronted by the main characters,between the old feudal life and the new Renaissance life,as well as inside the two feudal families,investigates people＇s outlook on life,value and aesthetic judgments in the period of Renaissance,and illustrates the new Capitalistic views on equality,freedom and liberation of human nature held by Shakespeare as one of the advanced humanists.
