刘天华先生是我国学贯中西、乐通古今的民族音乐一代宗师。他改革传统的记谱方法,创作经典民族器乐曲,创立了二胡学科,革新二胡演奏技法,改良乐器制作,倡导平民音乐教育,为我国民族音乐发展做出了卓越贡献。

Mr Liu Tianhua is a very knowledgeable about the past and present and conversant with the Chinese and western countries. He, is a prestigious music master, has reformed the traditional music method, composed classic music with fork instrument, established Erhu discipline and optimize instrument. He advocated music education for common people and did remarkable contribution to China＇s folk music.
