Personal video communication based on integrated service digital network

综述了基于综合业务数字网（ＩＳＤＮ）的个人视频通信技术，包括国际电信联盟关于综合业务数字网的Ｉ系列建议框架，Ｈ．３２ｘ建议所涉及的视频和音频编解码方案，三种视频通信产品的技术指标和四家公司的视频处理器芯片。设计了一个基于个人电脑的ＩＳＤＮ视频通信设计方案。对基于ＩＳＤＮ的个人视频通信技术的发展方向进行了展望。指出对于非专业的家庭用户和专业的计算机网络用户应采取不同的开发方向。这为视频通信技术的研究和产品开发提供了指导性建议。

ISDN (integrated service digital network) based personal video communication has been developed rapidly in recent years. This paper overviews its techniques, including ITU I series recommendations for ISDN, video and audio codec of H.32x recommendations for multimedia communication, three available products and four video processing chips. A PC adapter designed for ISDN video communication is given in brief as an example. Finally prospect is also made for future development. Different development strategies should be taken for the home users who care much of the video quality and the computer network users with less demand for the quality.
