通过对人类社会发展不同阶段人才观的分析、回顾,指出现代社会体育事业发展对体育人才的新要求——科学素质与人文素质兼备,认为体育院校要在体育事业发展中更好地发挥人才支撑作用,就必须加强大学生人文素质的培养。文章剖析了当前体育院校大学生人文素质缺失的原因,并从提高学校管理层重视程度、加强学生体育人文素质培养、加快推进课程改革、发挥大学语文课程的主渠道作用、推进师资队伍建设、提升校园文化氛围等方面提出了培养、提高体育院校大学生人文素质的具体措施。
