College English Education in China in the Perspective of the Economics of Language

现行的大学英语教育存在课程设置、教育资源配置等方面的弊端。从语言经济学的角度,以价值和效用、费用和效益为理论依据对现行大学英语课程设置中所存在的问题进行分析,改革大学英语课程设置,提高教学资源的利用率,培养并提高学生的外语综合实用能力。

The current college English education in China is inadequate in such aspects as the curricula and the allocation of education resources. This paper analyzes the relevant problems in order to improve the college English curricula and the utilization of teaching resources, cultivate the students＇overall ability and mastery of English. This research is done from the perspective of the economics of language, taking value and utility as well as cost and efficiency into consideration.
