留守学生问题是人口城市化、劳动力转移过程中出现的社会问题。在今后相当长时间里,这个群体还将继续扩大。留守学生的教育和保护问题应该摆在党和政府的重要议事日程,引起全社会的关注。该文分析了留守学生的现状,探讨了问题的成因,并从社会、学校、家庭等几个方面提出了几点对策。

As the process of rural people and labor force transferring from countrysides to cities on a large scale, an unique students group appears in the countryside of our country, those students are called rear students. According to the statistics, this group would continue to expand. The issues of education and protection on rear students would arouse the concern of whole society , and should be placed in the agendas of our party and government＇s. This text has analysed the rear students＇ status, explored the causes about the status, and provided a number of countermeasures about it.
