本文以时间为轴线，论述了国内外关于节约型园林种植设计的理论与实践。分析各个时期在节约型园林种植设计方面的发展状况。介绍了一些代表人物和代表著作，阐述在不同的时代背景下关于节约型园林及其种植设计的各种观点。理清了历史的发展脉络，论述了相关研究现状，并进行了总结和评述。最后探讨了节约型种植设计的未来发展趋势。
Accoding to the time order, this paper discussed economical planting design at home and abroad, analysised the state of developmant about economical planting design in each period. This paper introduced some important representative personage and famous works. And got some surnmary and commentates. At last, it talked over the development trend of the economical planting design.
