夏商周时期的动植物资源及森林、草场

The Resources Forests and Prairies in the Dynasties of Xia Shang and Zhou

本文运用文献、考古和古文字资料分析认为：“三代”时期，我国绝大多数地区仍为亘古以来的森林、草场所覆盖。即使在最发达的中原地区，除了国都及其四郊外，农田也只是分布在一处处地势稍高且沿水流分布的居民点周围，仍处于林莽包围之中。夏商时黄河流域有成群的大象、犀牛及圣水牛、貘之类的热带动物出没，动植物资源相当丰富，从而弥补了农业生产的不足，给人们生活罩上了特有的色彩。

This article concludes that the most part of China was covered by forests,grasslands in immemorial time based on the analysis of the historical documents,archaeology and ancient writing materials. Even the most cultivated and prosperous areas in central China were still surrounded by jungles except the ancient capitals and close to the ancient communities. In the Dynasties of ,Xia Shang and Zhou, great swarms of tropical animals,such as elephants, rhinoceros and nasicorns could also be seen in the Huanghe Valley. The resources of animals and plants were so abundant that they made a compensation for agriculture and added a peculiar colour to the people's life.
