足用财富思想是中国古代财富思想的重要内容与特性,这是由中国古代社会小农经济的生产方式、重农抑商的经济政策以及封建皇权的政治统治等因素决定的。增殖财富思想是西方古代财富思想的重要内容与特性,它的形成主要有三个原因:财富积累增殖的正义性、民主理念与人文主义的精神动力、城市经济发展与政治稳定的需要。通过对足用财富思想与增殖财富思想的比较可以得出,由于思维方式、经济文化、地缘政治、政治理念的不同,中西古代财富思想特性也是不同的。

Sufficient Wealth Thought is an important part and characteristic of the wealth thought in ancient China, which finds its root in small-scale agricultural economy, emphasis placed in agriculture and suppression of commerce, and feudal imperial rule. On the other hand, Increment Wealth Thought characterizes the wealth thought in ancient west, which can be explained by the idea of justice of wealth accumulation, the spiritual power of democratic idea and humanism, and the demand of urban economy development and political stability. By comparing Sufficient Wealth Thought and In- crement Wealth Thought, the article concludes that the differences in wealth thought between ancient China and West result from the different thinking modes, economic cultures, geopolitics, and political ideas.
