Review of Series of "Picture-Drawing Book of China"

图画书是把绘画和语言这两种艺术再创造之后的一种独特的艺术表现形式。作为中国原创图画书的成功之作——"绘本中国",有其典型的中国特色(中国味),但其在图画讲故事的功能、图文合一性、儿童趣味性和文字的浅易性等几个方面与优秀的图画书之间还存在着一定的差距。中国原创图画书应取其精华、弃其糟粕,进一步创作出具有中国特色的图画书,以满足各方面的需求。

Picture-drawing book is a characteristic artistic expression which is re-created on the basis of painting and language. As a success of Chinese original picture book,＂ Picture-drawing Book of China＂ is characteristic of China flavor, but it is not to be compared with the outstanding picture book in the aspects of picture story-telling, combination of pictures and text, interests for Children, intelligibility of text. Aimed at producing picture books with Chinese characteristics, Chinese original picture books should take advantage of the excellent works and meet various demands.
