Values Exploration and Preservation of Wuhu Late Qing Dynasty Model Prison

芜湖晚清模范监狱是中国近代新式监狱建筑,在城市高速发展进程中,由于产权混乱、保护法规体制不健全、利用方式不合理等多方面原因,未得到应有的重视与保护。本文通过一系列调查研究,剖析了模范监狱的空间形态特征,分析了其多方面的价值与意义,并就模范监狱的保护与更新展开思考。

Wuhu late Qing dynasty model prison is representative of modern new prison building of China. In the process of rapid development of cities, the prison did not receive enough attention and protection due to the confusion of property rights, the lack of protection system, and unreasonable use patterns. Through a series of studies, this paper analysis the characteristics of a model prison space form and its wide range of values. Finally, it intends to seek Preservation and renewal methods of model prison.
