A Novel Method for the Calculation of Meridional Arc Length of Ellipsoid

根据子午线弧长的计算原理，推导出一个新的子午线弧长计算实用公式。采用新公式计算由赤道到纬度的子午线弧长时，在计算效果及计算精度分析方面比传统公式更加直观、准确。

According to the principle of calculating meridional arc length,a novel practical formula is given in this paper. when it is applied for the calculation of meridional arc length from the equator to geodetic latitude, the results show that it is more accurate than the conventional formula.
