小西南岔金铜矿床产于下古生界五道沟群与华力西晚期闪长岩内接触带中．矿化类型为含金石英硫化物脉型及密集细脉型．矿体受近Ｓ－Ｎ向断裂、ＮＷ向断裂及裂隙构造带控制，矿床成因类型为岩浆热液型．
