The spring thunder of May 4th Movement awakens female consciousness which has been asleep for hundreds of years. Some new women accepting education began to get rid of traditional concepts and chose a different lifestyle - being single. Women＇ s bachelorhood was caused by many reasons, no matter for the reason of being frightened by sad marriage or pursuing successful career, it reveals that women were able to choose their life styles according to their own will and their independent awareness has awakened.
