The author describes the method of determining the chemical compositions of glass fiber products by detecting specimens made from glass melt using X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, including details of preparing specimens of glass to be detected, selecting standard specimens, selecting testing conditions for the spectrometer, establishing calibration curves and analyzing the chemical compositions of glass fiber samples finally. Proof tests for the accuracy and precision of this method are also included.
