粗糙集理论已经成功应用于许多领域，特别是数据挖掘、知识发现、人工智能和信息系统分析。在粗糙集理论背景下．对图像进行建模，用集合的上下近似表示图像对象。通过定义新的图’像相似度计算“Object Similarity Ratio”，介绍一种精确的基于对象的图像检索方法，它可以处理基于例图的查询，并且介绍了一种高效的大型图像库检索算法。

The rough set theory has been applied in diverse areas of research, especially in data mining, knowledge discovery, artificial intelligence and information systems analysis. In the context of rough set theory, modeling for images, describing images using upper and lower approximations of set. Introduced an accurate Object-based image retrieval method which can handle image-based queries by defining a novel image similarity measure called Object Similarity Ratio, and presented an efficient retrieval algorithm from large image database.
