摘要
IPv6是IETF设计用于替换现行版本IP协议IPv4的下一代互联网协议。首先介绍了IPv6的产生背蒂，阐述了IPv6的技术原理、特点及优势，并探讨了从IPv4到IPv6的过渡技术。最后对IPv6的应用前景提出展望。
IPv6 is the next generation Internet Protocol designed by IETF, applied to substitue for the existing IPv4. After describing the generated background of IPv6, this paper introduces the technology and principle and advantage of IPv6, studies on the transition technol- ogy to IPv6 from IPv4. Finally the paper puts a forward prospect of the application of IPv6.
