摘要
当代比较文学形象学认为异国形象的真伪已经不再是关注的重点,而应转移到异国形象创作诸问题上。以此为出发点,从作家的角度对《大地》三部曲中"中国形象"的生成进行了细致的探讨。通过分析研究发现,独特的生活经历让赛珍珠在文化和身份认同时产生矛盾和焦虑,宗教的宽容使她希望人们在信仰上抛却狭隘和偏见,最终形成了她混杂的双重文化身份并由此思考它的文化意义。于是在提笔写作时,她开辟了一个阈限性写作空间,以自己的作品告诉人们,人和人是有同一性的,完全可以跨越种族和文化差异达到沟通和理解。《大地》三部曲中中国形象正是这三者融合的产物。
The paper deals with why Pearl S.Buck created such an image of China,that is,the generation of the image of China in the trilogy of The Good Earth from two aspects: the double cultural identity and the liminality of her writing aims.The anxiety and ambivalence in identity and the tolerance in religion cause her to think about the cultural significance of her double cultural identity, which helps her open the third space while conveying the idea that man can understand each other by surmounting the cultural and racial differences.
