Shen Congwen had a dynamic value orientation. The unique cultural spirit in Xiangxi,the transition of traditional Chinese culture in the early 20th century,and the reinterpretation and re-illustration to Chinese culture under the influence of western theories,all contributed to Shen＇s interpretation,infiltrated into his literary activities, and enabled him to compare different cultures, realizing an amalgamation of cultural interpretation and the visual threshold of cultural illustration. From the local cultural illustration to the cultural interpretation and illustration of the whole nation and the whole world, Shen Congwen had gradually widened his visions in creation.
