To peacefully liberate Taiwan and achieve the reunification of China is the goal explored and pursued by the Chinese Communist Party for a long time. After the foundation of the People＇s Republic of China, the Party has made long-term and unremitting efforts to achieve this goal. Since the 1950s, the Party＇s policy to Taiwan Question undergoes from ＂peaceful liberation＂ to ＂peaceful reunification and one country two systems＂. This change reflects the Party＇s sincere aspirations of valuing national interests and striving for the peaceful reunification of China.
